Zildjian K0990 also features a the shimmering sheen on the kits of the rhythm-keeping elite with sound powering the top end of countless hit recordings. Like all Zildjian K Customs cast bronze cymbals, are poured and made from raw molten metal. All casting is chilled and classified by weight for each cymbal model. Finally, castings are then inserted through multiple sequences of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to specific cymbal range. These cast bronze cymbals have a bright, full-bodied sound that grows with time.

K0990 K Custom cymbals also have a more excellent projection, clarity, and persistence than any other cymbals. Zildjian Session Crash cast cymbals are created from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is constituted of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
